I’m thrilled to announce that I’m now a monthly contributor to Feminist Magazine, a “weekly Southern California radio show of news, views, politics and culture with a feminist perspective.” In my Feminist Films commentary, I’ll share my thoughts on gender and film…movies I love, movies that irk me and movies I can’t wait to see.

In my  debut today (!!!),  I discuss Beasts of the Southern Wild, a bittersweet, strange and haunting film about the end of the world revolving around an unforgettable female protagonist — a brave, powerful and magnetic 6-year-old African-American girl — and The Invisible War, a harrowing documentary on rape in the military.

You can listen live Tuesdays at 3pm PST (that’s 6pm for all my East Coast peeps) or listen to the podcast on iTunes.
